In practice, someone is copying data between them by hand every day, creating errors, delays, and a job that shouldn't exist. The integration problem is usually discovered late. A company grows, adds tools, and at some point the manual data transfer between systems becomes a full-time job — or a regular source of costly mistakes. By the time someone decides to fix it, there are five systems involved, three of which have limited APIs, one that only exports CSV, and one that's a legacy desktop application. Where a system doesn't have an API, we build adapters that read from its database or structured exports. We work around it. Legacy systems often expose data through database access, structured CSV/XML exports, or even screen scraping as a last resort. We'll assess what's possible during the discovery phase and won't charge you for an approach that turns out not to work.
We build queue-based integrations where possible — if the target system is down, requests queue and process when it comes back, no data loss. We add retry logic with exponential backoff, error tracking (Sentry or equivalent), and alerting so you know before your customers do.
Yes. Every API and integration we build comes with complete documentation: endpoints, request/response formats, authentication, example payloads, and error codes. Hosted as OpenAPI/Swagger where applicable. Anyone should be able to work with it without asking us.
Depends on complexity. A simple one-way sync between two systems with a good API: from €500. A multi-system integration hub with error handling, monitoring, and documentation: €1,500–4,000. We scope it before we start so you know the number.
Yes. Third-party APIs change without warning, authentication expires, data formats shift. We offer monitoring and maintenance retainers to keep integrations running. Alternatively we hand off with documentation and you manage it yourself.
